First stop...Korea

In Seoul, Wendy meets up with Bruno, who has just arrived from a three-week volunteer project in Mongolia. If you are interested in his experience (it's a good one), check out 'brunoinmongolia.blogspot.com'

Now this is what you call street food. We come across this restaurant specializing in dishes made with chillies...a little strange as all Korean dishes seem to be made with chillies...AND garlic...whew!

This vendor is trying to entice me with her food samples.

If you like deep fried things (as Bruno), you'll enjoy these...the crispy coating includes chopped crab, ham, bean sprouts and onions.

This is the place to buy ginseng

This 'must have' item is a shawl made out of a towel...B says he could have used one of these in Mongolia.

Where's Bruno? Watching the lingerie frenzy in Namdaemum market

After a few hours walking in the heat (it is very hot and humid here) it's time for air con and a cold beer!

Hmmm...who's worried? the bank or it's customers? At least they're honest...

...whereas this bank...?

Our next destination...Seoul Tower

There is a cable car but we decide to sweat out the stairs...however, I stupidly forget to bring my hiking stilettos, so I'm not as fashionable as many of the women I pass along the way??? I'm pretty sure most of them didn't make it.

This guy could easily have charged five times the price for his water...but it only cost me about 90 cents for a bottle.

The view of Seoul from the top of the tower

...and at night as we hike back down.
